An exciting team building business game and team journey through the cultures, customs and potential pitfalls of the famous Silk Road as they join an exotic caravan in search of opportunity, profit and adventure.
The Silk Road that wound its way from Europe through to China was an exciting, exotic and potentially lucrative trade and travel route for adventurous entrepreneurs. It was however also fraught with peril and danger for those who failed to plan well, trade cleverly or maintain the ability to function well within their caravan.
Teams will each join an Eastward bound caravan in search of opportunity, profit and adventure. Skilful teams will plan the optimal route for obtaining the trade goods that will have most value to them and negotiate the best deals at the marketplaces they visit.
Each team selects their own path in tandem with others in their caravan (plenty of vigorous negotiation is required to agree at times) to balance the risk versus reward factors offered by each leg of the journey to the East.
A careful balance must also occur with other teams in the caravan to ensure a win – win approach rather than destructive competition that may doom them all (as not every team within the caravan will want to travel in the same direction as the others).
Plenty of interesting twists and turns will keep teams on their feet as they handle everything from intra team tensions to bandits, unexpected taxes and the chaotic and hilarious Camel Derby at the Oasis of Palmyra.

At each stage of the team building game as the trading seasons unfold teams may trade, barter and negotiate with one another to increase their holdings of goods that have the highest value for the clients / end users. They can even bet high stakes on the interactive camel races that will unfold between all teams at the Oasis of Palmyra mid game!
Temptations to undermine others in the caravan will abound, but at the end of the day are you ultimately just hurting yourself? Can you win together? This is one of the great secrets of the Silk Road.
